Zonda Unico: Pagani creates an exclusive and extreme version of the supercar 15 years after official production ended (Instagram @paganiautomobili)
Even 15 years after production ended, the Pagani Zonda remains one of the most revered supercars in the world, continuing to receive exclusive made-to-order versions.
The latest is the Zonda Unico, a one-off model specially created for a mysterious client. The design was inspired by the Kunlun mountain range in China and stands out thanks to an extreme aerodynamic package, featuring elements such as a double rear wing, central fin, and prominent roof scoop.
The Unico is based on the ultra-rare HP Barchetta, of which only three units exist, but it features significant visual differences. The body appears to be entirely made of carbon fiber, with a finish that mixes blue, black, and exposed carbon details. Despite the updates, it retains iconic traits from the original 1999 Zonda, such as the twin headlights and the central quad exhaust tips.
Pagani has not revealed the full technical specifications of the Unico, but all indications suggest it uses the same mechanical setup as the HP Barchetta: a naturally aspirated 7.3-liter V12 engine supplied by AMG, delivering an impressive 760 hp and paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
With this model, Pagani reaches a total of 141 Zonda units produced, a testament to the car’s longevity and enduring appeal among wealthy enthusiasts.
